Samuel holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the New School, with a concentration in Development and a minor in Migration Studies. His research interests span foreign policy, regional security, governance, extremism, human rights, and economic development.

His academic experience includes an internship with the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy, researching anti-migrant rhetoric in its contribution to right-wing radicalization. For his capstone, he worked with the nonprofit Emerging Public Leaders to build a monitoring and evaluation framework for their fellowship program in Kenya, where he developed KPIs and designed a baseline survey.

Previously, he worked at DAI Global as a Senior Associate, Project Manager, on USAID-funded projects focused on civil society, global health, and the environment. These projects included USAID Burma CSP, USAID Bangladesh ONE Health, and USAID Indonesia SELARAS.
Samuel also served in the United States Army as a logistics officer, where he deployed overseas to South Korea and Poland. Both deployments were to support U.S. allies, build cross-collaboration, and deter aggression from foreign state adversaries.

Samuel currently spends his free time volunteering with national grassroots veteran organizations and advocating for inclusive democratic policies that serves all people.
