During her graduate studies, Smitha conducted geospatial analysis of healthcare accessibility in New York State, examining disparities between rural and urban communities. Using Python, SQL, and Tableau, she applied spatial statistics to assess access to healthcare facilities and developed an interactive dashboard that integrates government APIs and open data sources.

Smitha has expertise in data pipelines, cloud services, database design, geospatial analysis, and visualization.
